Escape Campus is an international education group focused on language learningWe currently operate:Language schoolsacross the UK, Spain, Italy and Colombia(online and in-person) A growing Ed Tech divisionbuilding AI-powered language learning solutions Partnerships with companies, schools and institutions to deliver innovative learning experiencesWe are now looking for a Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO)to help us structure and scale the financial side of the business and to lead our fundraising strategyacross all Escape Campus projects. Role OverviewThis is a strategic and hands-onrole. We are looking for someone who can:Understand the overall business modelof Escape Campus (schools + online + Ed Tech) Take ownership of financial planning, cash flow, and unit economicsLead and optimise our fundraising efforts(VCs, angels, grants, public funds, accelerators) Help the CEO to make data-driven decisions on growth, investments, and profitabilityYou will work closely with the Founder & CEOand coordinate with our operations, product and sales teams. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain the financial modelof Escape Campus Group (P&L, cash flow, forecasts, scenarios). Analyse and improve unit economics(customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, margins per product/country, etc.). Lead and structure the fundraising strategy : Identify and prioritise relevant investors, funds and grant opportunitiesSupport in preparing pitch decks, financial slides, business plans and data roomsJoin investor meetings and handle financial & business due diligenceImplement or improve basic financial processes and reporting : Monthly/quarterly reportingBudgeting and budget vs. actualsCash flow management and runway planningAdvise on corporate structure, subsidiaries and cross-country operations(UK, Spain, Italy, Colombia) with our legal/accounting partners. Support the CEO in strategic decisions(pricing, product mix, hiring plan, cost optimisation, expansion). Ensure compliance with basic financial regulations and good governancepractices.RequirementsProven experience as CFO, Finance Director, Head of Financeor similar in a startup or scale-up(Ed Tech, Saa S or education-related sectors are a plus). Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, and unit economics . Demonstrated experience in fundraising(equity, convertible instruments, grants, public funding, accelerators, etc.). Ability to translate numbers into clear strategic recommendationsfor non-financial stakeholders. Comfortable working with distributed operationsacross multiple countries and currencies. Hands-on, pragmatic, able to work with limited resourcesin an early-stage environment. Excellent English(spoken and written).Nice to HaveExperience in Ed Tech, education, or training businesses . Experience with grant / public fund applications(innovation, digitalisation, education). Familiarity with UK and EU startup ecosystems(investors, programs, instruments). Based in Europe or similar time zone.
