Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Alfasigma is a privately held global healthcare company founded over 75 years ago in Italy, where it remains headquartered today in Bologna and Milan.The Group operates in over 100 markets spanning Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Africa.Over three years ago, we embarked on a transformative journey to becomea truly global innovative healthcare company with a leading focus on Gastrointestinal (GI) health.We have experienced remarkable growth, nearly doubled our revenues, expanding geographically, and integrating several key acquisitions.We have also evolved our portfolio, expanded into rare and specialty segments, and strengthened our pipeline and people's capabilities.But our journey is far from completeIn fact, this is just the beginning of a bold new chapter in Alfasigma's history.We are committed to advancing innovation and leveraging our deep expertise to provide better health and a better quality of life for patients and consumers worldwide and expand our reach across diverse markets.As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Global Category Specialist.This position supports theHead of Global Indirect Procurement and Procurement Category Manager to manage procurement activities related to the Categories assigned within Alfasigma organization.This role involves developing and implementing effective supplier and category strategies, negotiating with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes.The Global Category Specialist collaborates with various departments to understand their procurement needs and aligns procurement strategies to support the organization's overall goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:Category and Supplier Strategy:Support Category Manager to develop and implement strategic procurement plans for categories assignedAnalyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to identify procurement opportunities and risks.Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts and agreements.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality products/services and timely deliveries.Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement improvement plans as necessary.Cost Management:Optimize costs by negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service.Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as departments requiring indirect goods/services) to understand their needs and requirements.Communicate procurement policies and procedures to internal teams, ensuring compliance and understanding of best practices.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or supplier financial instability.Contract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and in compliance with legal requirements.Monitor contract performance, renew contracts as needed, and manage contract expiration and renewal processes.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze procurement data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and prepare reports for management.Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve procurement processes.Specific Skills, Educational Requirements and ExperienceMaster's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Proven experience in indirect procurement.Experience in pharma industry as a plus.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier evaluation.Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in procurement software and tools.Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.Strategic thinker with good planning and organizational skills.Detail-oriented and results-driven.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing business environment.#J-*****-Ljbffr
