OverviewPractice Managers have two overall responsibilities.They serve as managers of a speciality consulting team, or Practice, and contribute to individual projects as senior subject-matter experts.As a manager, Practice Managers lead teams of consultants who are subject-matter experts in the implementation of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CR IMS).Key duties include hiring and staff development, administrative responsibilities (objectives, reviews, promotion recommendations and time & expense approval), and ensuring project delivery aligns with financial goals.They define and maintain implementation approaches and delivery documentation, provide leadership for OTC Practice members, and liaise with NA and APAC counterparts to ensure a consistent global approach and standards.ResponsibilitiesManage staffing to optimise utilisation of your team and use project assignments to expand skills; provide career path guidance; partner with recruiting to hire talent at junior and senior levels; set objectives and evaluate team members; make promotion recommendations.Lead efforts to develop and promote Best Practices in CRIMS implementations; manage team relationships with Product Management; optimise Product involvement in projects and collect feedback from the field.Provide a support network for the team to leverage during project work; ensure the team supports staffing processes, time & expense processes, technology adoption, and other organisational initiatives.Develop domain expertise within the team; foster awareness of emerging business and technical drivers affecting customers; drive forums to share expertise across CRD.Serve as subject-matter expert on CRIMS implementation and upgrade projects; analyse requirements, provide product guidance, ensure solutions meet client needs, and prepare clients to operate post go-live.Analyse client requirements to assist sales opportunities; contribute to sales presentations and POC projects to demonstrate CRIMS capabilities.Educate clients on CRIMS functionality; advise on best practices for implementation and operation.Monitor client requirements to identify potential enhancements and document product improvements for client implementations or market trends.Contribute to software quality by communicating defects to Technical Support and Product Management.What we valueExperience managing investment professionals; experience managing consulting teams is preferred.Experience supporting or implementing investment management solutions within banks, hedge funds, asset managers or wealth management firms; experience with order management and compliance solutions is valuable.Knowledge of all asset classes including equity, fixed income, and derivatives.Strong client service track record; ability to understand client needs and build effective relationships in a team environment.Team player who shares knowledge; mentor less-experienced colleagues and leverage more senior expertise.Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey plans, issues and risks clearly.Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to decompose complex issues and perform root cause analysis.Strong time management and ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.Education & Preferred QualificationsFour (4) year degree in business or technical fields such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.An advanced degree or CFA is a strong plus.8+ years of experience.Additional RequirementsAbility to travel to client sites throughout the United States and Canada; remote work from clients is possible.Travel *****% typical but may exceed that in any year.About State Street / Charles River DevelopmentState Street is a leading custodian bank, asset manager and asset intelligence company.Charles River Development (CRD) became part of State Street in ****.CRD provides enterprise investment management software solutions for institutional clients.We continue to build next-generation infrastructure and leverage emerging technologies.Work, Live and GrowWe strive to create a great work environment with competitive and comprehensive benefits.Details vary by location, including medical care, insurance and savings programs; flexible Work Programs; and development support to reach your full potential.Inclusion, Diversity, and Social ResponsibilityWe value diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and strive for an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.We welcome candidates of diverse origin, background, ability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other characteristics.We support communities through volunteer days, matching gifts, and employee networks.State Street is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Discover more at #J-*****-Ljbffr
