STIGA is a leading European manufacturer and distributor of lawnmowers and power garden equipment, with over 90 years of experience in the marketWe are consistently curious, conscious of trends, inspiring, and visionary – just like our customers.We are seeking a highly motivatedProduct Design Engineerto join our Innovation team based in Castelfranco Veneto (TV).ACCOUNTABILITY & OBJECTIVES:Design, creation, and iterative testing of physical prototypes to validate product concepts and ensure manufacturability;Collaborate closely with design and engineering to refine product designs based on prototype feedback and testing results;Support the development process by troubleshooting prototype issues and driving improvements that align with project timelines and cost targets;Execute detailed product design activities, ensuring all design components meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturing requirements;Develop, maintain, and control product details documentation, including CMF (Color, Material, Finish) specifications and critical design tolerances;KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Design detailed prototype components and assemblies using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability;Build and assemble physical prototypes utilizing various materials and fabrication techniques (e.g., machining, 3D printing, foam modelling, card modelling);Plan and conduct prototype testing including functional and usability assessments;Support prototyping and testing phases by preparing accurate design packages and making timely modifications based on feedback.Iterate designs rapidly based on test data, stakeholder feedback, and technical constraints;Contribute ideas to improve product innovation, design efficiency, and prototype quality within a fast-paced environment;Create, review, and finalize detailed CAD models, drawings, and 3D files with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and user experience;Develop and update comprehensive CMF documentation aligned with design intent and brand standards;Work directly with suppliers and manufacturing to validate design feasibility and resolve potential product issues;Participate actively in design reviews, providing detailed inputs on product aesthetics, material selection, and functional details teams to maintain a unified product vision and execution;Support cross-functional collaboration across design, engineering, marketing, and quality assurance functions.QUALIFICATIONS:University degree in mechanical or design engineering or equivalent is requiredEXPERIENCE:a minimum of 3 years experience in R&D roles in consumer products companies is preferredKNOWLEDGE:Experience with mechanical design work and knowledge in manufacturing processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsKnowledge and experience with utilization of CAD/3-D Modeling SoftwareSolid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as ExcelGood sketching and concept generation skillsGood physical model building skillsAbility to understand complex mathematical relationships that underpin mechanical analysisMINDSET AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:Capability to develop the activities in autonomyGood interpersonal relation skills and capability to work in a multinational environment.Eagerness to grow, to learn and to increase the level of responsibilities in his/her jobAnalytical rigor and solid process management and way of working is neededCurious about our values?Explore them here Interested candidates must send their applications with authorization under GDPR (EU Reg. ********).The recruitment process is open to candidates of all genders (D.lgs. ********).#J-*****-Ljbffr
