WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORSenior Java Developer (Spring / Microservices) | EnergyJoin our client's international Information Systems team, supporting business-critical risk management solutions in a fast-moving B2B environment. You will contribute to the design and delivery of reliable, scalable software used to support operational and decision-making processes.You will be part of a context where digital platforms support the transition towards more sustainable, low-carbon operations by enabling reliable and efficient services at scale. The focus is on delivering high-quality software that strengthens risk management capabilities in a large B2B setting, where stability, performance, and technical excellence are key.In this role, you will work 2 days per week onsite in Brussels and the rest remotely, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders and technical teams in an international setting.We are looking for a motivated Senior Java Developer with 7+ years of experience, strong foundations in modern Java and Spring, and the confidence to take ownership of critical components while mentoring other developers and driving technical excellence.For this role, relocation to Brussels (Belgium) is mandatory for candidates living far from the area, or the ability to commute regularly.Language: French or Dutch (B2 or more) + English (B2 or more) is required due to daily interactions with teams and stakeholders. YOUR TASKSYou will work on a risk management software platform. Your responsibilities will include:Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to refine requirements and align solutions with business goalsDesign and implement scalable applications following best practices and clean architecture principlesLead the development of critical components and ensure timely deliveryMentor developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and code qualityMaintain high standards through code reviews, testing, and documentationTroubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and performanceKeep up to date with Java technologies and propose improvements/innovations when relevant YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 7 years of professional experience in Java developmentStrong expertise in:Java *****Spring Framework (v5+), Spring MVCREST API design and microservices architectureFront-end frameworks (Vue.js preferred) and responsive HTML/CSSCloud deployments on Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practicesExcellent problem-solving skills, communication, and a collaborative leadership mindset EXTRA INFORMATIONLocation: Brussels, Belgium, relocation is mandatory for candidates living far from the area, or the ability to commute regularly.Work location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 days remoteStart: ASAP, ideally by 02/03/2026Contract: 1 year (extendable by +1 +1 years, for a maximum of 3 years)Languages: Fluent in French or Dutch (B2 or more), with excellent English (B2 or more)Eligibility:EU Citizens, orNon-EU Citizens already based in the EU with a valid work permitOnce we receive your CV, we will take the time to evaluate it carefully.
