is capable of scaling aerospace quality to volume and cost levels to meet end customer needs.This position will join the team at an exciting moment, with an opportunity to own quality system development and contribute to the design of requirements, processes, and systems used across the business.Responsibilities- Perform daily defect resolution as the Quality member.- Investigate Production System issues to reduce defect rates and drive root-cause corrective actions.- Implement the Leo Quality System through process development and launch mechanisms.- Partner with cross-functional groups to develop and qualify internal production processes, including Quality Assurance processes.- Conduct rigorous Continuous Improvement activities to prevent recurrence of non-conformance during assembly.- Perform audit activities to ensure compliance with QMS requirements.Export Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Key Job Responsibilities- Manage the MRB process at the production floor.- Review non-conformance and approve disposition.- Perform root-cause analysis to reduce NC.- Lead the work instruction (SOP) for the quality inspection team.- Perform in-process and outgoing quality inspection for assembly processes.- Drive inspection improvement process and work toward industry 4.0 standards for automated inspection systems such as vision and sensor-based systems.- Lead problem solving using tools such as lean six sigma, 8D, A3, Ishikawa diagram, cause-and-effect diagram, and Design of Experiment.A Day In The Life- 24-hour NC review to identify trends and work toward containment actions.- Review NC on the production floor and perform disposition.- Review rework and lead salvage process.- Perform measurements in the quality lab using CMM, Romer Arm, Optical Vision System, OMM, Height Gauge, and other gauges.- Work with Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection teams and provide support as needed.About the TeamHere at Amazon, we Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in Quality Inspection, NC approval process, and MRB management.- 3+ years of experience using Excel for functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PIVOT, and advanced Excel.- Problem-solving experience using 8D, A3, and Six Sigma.Preferred Qualifications- Basic understanding of SQL/Python.- Lean Six Sigma – Yellow or Green Belt.- Education in an Engineering for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $117,000/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on factors such as market location and may vary depending
