About Us A career at Hitachi Rail will help create a legacy.With operations in every corner of the world, our work goes to the cutting-edge of digital transformation and technology.From the multi-cultural strength of our global organisation to the sustainable and innovative ways we work to bring people together, there's something for everyone to get stuck into.And that's where you come in.Pessano Con Bornago, Italy (Hybrid) Job Objective The Project Manager at Hitachi Rail RCS Italia is responsible for ensuring the achievement of all technical, operational, and financial objectives (including revenue and AGM), within the defined schedule and budget, and in line with the expected quality standards.The role involves leading project execution in close coordination with all relevant company functions.Key Responsibilities Manage complex projects in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments, applying appropriate project management methodologies, processes, and tools.Effectively coordinate the project team and engage with various stakeholders.Plan and coordinate activities and resources related to Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems, in collaboration with internal teams and functions, to meet contractual milestones.Ensure customer satisfaction in terms of quality and timeliness, while maintaining project profitability and driving continuous improvement.Oversee and manage the contractual terms and conditions of the project.Collaborate with the Engineering team to prepare technical documentation.Plan and coordinate the production and integration of AFC systems, working closely with the supply chain, engineering teams, and suppliers.Monitor project progress against the established timeline.Conduct monthly profitability reviews and implement corrective actions to maximize project margins.Lead and participate in system validation and verification activities, both in factory and on-site, to secure customer approval and system commissioning.Support the System Engineer and Customer Service during commissioning, maintenance, and warranty phases.Represent the company and the project in all interactions with the customer.Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience.Fluency in English and italian are required; 3-5 years of experience in an engineering company in a similar role.Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.Strong teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.If your application is of interest, we will be in contact.Please do not hesitate to discover more about us and our latest jobs at At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.We welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, and world view.It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment - we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.We would be delighted if you would be one of our followers at #J-*****-Ljbffr
