Mechanical Engineer Contract Type Permanent Country ITALY Location Parma Your opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Module Owner Engineer with experience in Secondary Packaging and Palletizer / De Palletizer to join our dynamic team.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles, particularly in packaging technologies, and a passion for developing cutting-edge solutions.Your Mission Create detailed designs and technical drawings (both 3D and 2D) for mechanical devices and equipment.Develop new components or assemblies to address machine reliability issues.Prepare documentation, including operational descriptions and maintenance plans.Oversee the management of non-conformities.Ensure workload flexibility by delegating tasks to internal (IEH) or external teams as needed.Support strategic projects focused on standardization and modularization of the machine portfolio.Lead initiatives to enhance the sustainability of our machines through the use of recyclable and lightweight materials.Provide regular project status updates to management.Your Profile We are looking for a talented individual with a minimum B2 level of English proficiency (knowledge of French is a plus) as well as a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD (familiarity in QS TOP being an added advantage).You should have a solid understanding of sizing mechanical components and transmissions, as well as the ability to leverage Artificial Intelligence tools (ex: Power BI and internal AI Sidel tools).Strong problem-solving skills are essential, with experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), the 5 Whys technique, and Six Sigma methodology.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.Familiarity with the SolidWorks Simulation module (FEM analysis) and SAP PLM would be a valuable bonus.Additionally, you should be open to short travel for customer site visits to conduct surveys or analyze machine issues.
