Assistant Controller – Avis Budget GroupAvis Budget Group is a leading global provider of mobility solutions, operating some of the world's most recognized brands including Avis, Budget, and Zipcar.With operations in more than 180 countries, we are committed to shaping the future of mobility through innovation, sustainability, and exceptional customer service.We are currently looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Rome, Italy, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial data under US GAAPCoordinate monthly closing activities for reporting purposesReview balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure proper recording of revenues, expenses, depreciation, accruals, and deferralsReview and approve adjusting and correcting journal entriesContribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with ITA GAAPEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policiesSupport internal and external audits by providing accurate documentationSupport special projectsKey Skills & QualificationsStrong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP and ITA GAAP)Excellent analytical skills and attention to detailTeam management capabilitiesProficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Oracle Cloud)Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAdvanced, professional English levelSeniority level: Entry levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Accounting/Auditing and FinanceBe part of a leading global organization in the mobility sector, with international presence and a dynamic, professional environment.Apply nowAvis Budget Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.Location: Rome, Italy#J-*****-Ljbffr
