Key Job Responsibilities As a lab engineer, you will be responsible for building and managing rapid prototypes and test equipment to support multiple areas of the program. An ideal candidate has a mix of skills and interests including networking, IT, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and software engineering and is interested in applying those skills to help build and maintain labs and test floors to develop and qualify a wide variety of products and technologies being developed at Amazon Robotics. Basic Qualifications 2 years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field Experience with the project management of technical projects Experience with network equipment installation and configuration Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings, or experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow Knowledge of networking protocols such as DNS, and TCP/IP Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field Experience with lab safety, security and quality practices Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment Experience in system-level debugging Experience using one or more of the following technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, SketchUp, KeyShot) to deliver high-quality models and designs Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
