Senior Program Manager M/F What does the role look like?The Senior Program Manager is the main focal point and interface between Safran Italy and the customers.The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination and accountability together with the ability to work and lead cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesProvide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with particular focus on profitability, quality and on time delivery throughout all the life cycle of the program.Lead a team of Project and Program Managers.Manage the programs in the short term and create a vision for the programs in the medium/long term.Manage program contracts.Risk Management.Ensure the on time development of the assigned programs, verifying they are compliant with the budget and formulating offers for any changes in the "scope of work".Ensure effective and efficient communication with the customer, enhance relationships ensuring timely and accurate answers.Maintain accurate reporting on the program status, to both Site and Corporate organization, using appropriate performance indicators and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfaction.Coordinate inter-functional activities contributing to the achievement of the business goals.Be accountable for Recovery Planning.Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals working with other company departments.Support audit activities requested by customers.Travel: Availability to short/medium duration travels, domestic and international is required.QualificationsAn engineering degree or management degree.A demonstrable background as a Senior Program Manager working within a multi-national, complex matrix-based organization.A minimum of 5 years' experience in product / industrial / engineering management, with at least 2–3 years managing complex, technical/manufacturing programs.Passionate desire to excel against demanding customer expectations.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong business relationships with a diverse customer group.Strength of character, resolve and drive for results.Someone who enjoys working within a fast paced ever-evolving organization.Experience of interpreting, analyzing complex data sets, with ability to translate with ease into purposeful communications.Experience of leading presentations to Senior Leaders and external customers.Experience of managing challenging negotiations and achieving the desired outcome.Proactivity, an individual who drives change and seeks opportunity for improvements.A passion to take ownership and deliver as both leader and member in a winning and supportive team environment.Focused on exceeding expectations and comfortable with working independently.Desirable SkillsDemonstrable Continuous Improvement experience in a leadership role, within a manufacturing environment.Experience of materials and supply chain management.Experience ensuring multiple programs remain on time and in budget.Able to operate successfully at senior management level.Be comfortable with operating in a multi-site working environment.Ability to think creatively, wisely and apply your influential personality.Have experience of working within the Aerospace industry.Company InformationSafran is an international high-technology group, operating in the aviation (propulsion, equipment and interiors), defense and space markets.Its core purpose is to contribute to a safer, more sustainable world, where air transport is more environmentally friendly, comfortable and accessible.Safran has a global presence, with 100,000 employees and sales of €27.3 billion in ****, and holds, alone or in partnership, world or regional leadership positions in its core markets.Safran Electronics & Defense offers its customers onboard intelligence solutions allowing them to understand the environment, reduce mental load and guarantee a trajectory, even in critical situations, in all environments: on land, at sea, in the sky or space.#J-*****-Ljbffr
