Job SummaryThe Connectivity Service Architect leads the definition, documentation, and maintenance of the technical architecture for the Connectivity Business Unit's products and services.Reporting to the BU engineering , the role drives architectural alignment, innovation, and compliance while collaborating closely with portfolio management, product teams, and external partners.Key skills include deep expertise in IoT connectivity, cloud solutions, and wireless technologies, with strong communication abilities and experience in Agile environments.This position is critical for ensuring technical excellence and continuous improvement, offering opportunities for strategic impact and cross-functional leadership.Objectives & ResponsibilitiesDefine, document, and maintain technical architecture for Connectivity BU products and servicesAnalyze customer and market requirements in cooperation with Portfolio Management during bids and product definitionParticipate in customer meetings to clarify use cases and requirementsDevelop and review high-level technical requirements (SAFe Epics) with all stakeholders both for cloud and client (embedded) sidePresent technical architecture in SAFe PI planning events; ensure architectural alignment across teamsMonitor high level implementation progress and operational statusArbitrate technical decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term roadmap visionSelect, define, and promote reusable architecture components for multiple products and servicesProvide expert support in case of operational issues and bug resolutionMonitor and interpret emerging standards, regulations, MNO approvals, and directives for product compliance and improvementContribute to technology/partner selection and technical benchmarking of competitor products, coordinate alignment on required 3rd party functionalities and interfacesEnsure security, compliance, and performance within cloud environmentsDrive continuous innovation into product portfolio and technical strategyRequirements & QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical disciplineMinimum 5 years of professional experience in IoT cellular connectivity, IoT cloud solutions, remote SIM provisioning or closely related industriesDeep knowledge of IoT architecture, device-to-cloud connectivity, and cellular network technologiesDemonstrated excellence in presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical)Strong orientation towards customer satisfaction and delivering tailored solutionsFluent communication skills in English, both verbal and writtenPreferred QualificationsRelevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco IoT)Hands-on experience with Agile or SAFe frameworks, and a proven ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative environmentsTrack record of leading distributed, cross-functional, and cross-cultural engineering teamsDemonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, cloud security, and data privacy best practices for connected systemsExpertise in SIM technologies, Remote SIM provisioning and related GSMA standards (SGP.0x, SGP.2x, SGP.3x)Experience with designing embedded clients for cloud integrationLocationHybrid work in Cagliari, Italy office
