build the world's premier cloud computing platform.We are looking for Manufacturing Engineers who are capable of operating in a fast paced, ever changing, multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment.Our Manufacturing Engineers work closely with our ODMs, CMs, internal AWS hardware and software development teams, and with upstream component vendors to monitor and improve the incoming hardware quality of AWS products both proactively in the design phase as well as monitoring, reporting and investigating any early-life product failures.This role requires the engineer to be a technical contact and take on full ownership of the manufacturing launch and resolution of process issues.You will be the driver in getting production up and running, understanding root cause of hardware failures and resolving gaps in our suppliers manufacturing processes.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.In other QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience with PCBA manufacturing, assembly, or test processes3+ years of experience working with PCBA manufacturing suppliers (ODMs/CMs) to improve incoming quality of electronic assembliesExperience with surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly processes, and PCBA manufacturing and test methodologiesPreferred QualificationsExperience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to productionExperience with the project management of technical projectsKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement principles & techniquesKnowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), or regulatory requirements or standardsExperience with server, networking, or cloud infrastructure PCBA manufacturing and testingKnowledge of motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layoutExperience with automated test equipment (ATE), in-circuit test (ICT), functional test, and boundary scan technologiesExperience with failure analysis techniques and root cause analysis for PCBA-related issuesKnowledge of component engineering and supplier quality processesExperience working in regulated environments with quality management systems (ISO ****, AS****)Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.The base pay for this position ranges from $125,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $219,900/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge,
