OverviewJob DescriptionPosition Title: Second Engineer with License over ****KW (III/2)Vessel Type: Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS)Vessel Flag: ItalyOperation Area: Arabian Sea and GulfContract Duration: 60 daysVessel DetailsType: Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS)Built: ****Dimensions: Length overall 50m, Beam 15mTonnage: Gross Tonnage ****, Deadweight ****Propulsion: Two Wärtsilä 6L32B3 diesel engines, total power *****KWBollard Pull: 120 tonsKey ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and Operation: Supervise and participate in the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems onboard, ensuring they are operational and meet safety and environmental standards.Safety and Compliance: Implement and monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Conduct regular inspections and drills, ensuring all engineering practices adhere to international maritime laws and conventions.Emergency Response: Act as a key member of the emergency response team, ready to manage or support engineering-related incidents onboard.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of engineering department activities, including but not limited to maintenance and repair logs, inventory of spare parts and supplies, and fuel and oil consumption.Team Management: Assist in leading and managing the engineering team, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and engine room crew.Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Engineer and other department heads to ensure the vessel's operational efficiency.Participate in planning and executing onboard operations, including loading, discharging, and maneuvering.Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support to the vessel's crew, ensuring all onboard operations are conducted safely and efficiently.Skills And AttributesExcellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental protection.Working ConditionsThe role requires working in a maritime environment, which may include harsh weather conditions and extended periods at sea.The candidate must be physically fit and able to work in confined spaces.Vessel DescriptionVessel Type: AHTSMain Engine: 2x WartsilaEngine Model: 6L32DWT: ****BHP: ****RequirementsCertification: Valid Second Engineer License (III/2) with unlimited power.Italian endorsement.Experience: Significant experience as a Second Engineer on similar vessels, preferably with experience in towing operations.Knowledge: Familiarity with the operational and safety requirements of tug boat towing operations in the Arabian Sea and Gulf.Physical Fitness: Capability to perform duties under physically demanding maritime conditions.To apply for this position you need working experience in maritime operations, with emphasis on the Second Engineer role.#J-*****-Ljbffr
