Company Description The Ansaldo Energia Group is one of the world's leading power generation companies.Its core business is the supply and service of components and technological solutions for power generation with rotating machines.The company designs and manufactures turbines and generators, and provides service and continuous improvement.Headquartered in Genoa, the Group employs more than 3,300 people and has a strong international presence with more than 30 offices around the world.Ansaldo Energia is one of the leading players in the transformation and decarbonisation of power generation.Its turbogas fleet is already capable of burning between 40 and 70 per cent hydrogen, with the aim of reaching 100 per cent by ****.Position Provide mechanical integrity solutions and lifetime predictions of gas turbine blades and vanes • Iterate closely with other functional turbine teams like Aerodynamics, Cooling, Design, Manufacturing and Reconditioning to ensure parts meet static and dynamic criteria • Issue and check technical reports and prepare design review material • Capture lessons learned and ensure the integration of field feedback into the design • Support manufacturing process development by providing technical expertise • Issue nonconformity resolutions with Quality and design teams • Conduct failure analysis and provide technical feedback to field operation findings • Issue reconditioning specifications • Prepare and support material, part, spin pit and engine tests and validation.Requirements Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification • Minimum of 5 year's experience, preferably in high temperature components design with • Experience in state-of-the-art 3D finite element modelling (ideally ANSYS) • Sound knowledge of thermal/structural mechanics, blade dynamics and physics of materials • Understanding of gas and steam turbine fundamentals • Fluency in English, Italian
