We areStartup Bakery, an Italian startup studio that builds B2B SaaS companies from scratch.We design and develop products that combine a simple and intuitive user experience, data-driven processes, and Artificial Intelligence, following alean approachand focusing on solutions that generatereal valueand apositive impacton people and the planet .How we workTrust & initiative– take ownership, experiment, and don't be afraid of making mistakes.Work-life balance– results matter, not working hours.Flexibility– work remotely or join us at our Milan HQ whenever collaboration (and fun) is needed.We are looking for an experiencedTech Leadwith a strong technical background and a product-oriented mindset to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team on aninnovative projectdeveloped by Startup Bakery.This role is both hands-on and strategic: you will guide technical decisions, coordinate a cross-functional team (backend, frontend, design, and data), and ensure that business requirements are translated into scalable, high-quality technical solutions.Key responsibilitiesAct as the main technical point of contact between business, product, and engineering.Translate business needs and product requirements into clear technical architectures and implementation plans.Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team including backend and frontend engineers, a product designer, and a data engineer.Define and evolve the overall system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.Support the team with hands-on development and code reviews when needed.Drive technical decision-making, prioritization, and trade-offs in collaboration with stakeholders.RequisitiMust-haveSolid background in software engineering (backend-oriented preferred)6+ years of experience in software development, with previous experience as Tech Lead or Senior Engineer.Strong understanding of modern web architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data-driven systems.Experience coordinating or mentoring small, multidisciplinary engineering teams.Good knowledge of agile methodologies and related tools, preferably Scrum and Jira.Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Pragmatic, product-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering real business value.Native or fluent Italian is requiredNice-to-haveExperience working in startups or early-stage products.Familiarity with data platforms, analytics pipelines, or AI-enabled products.Part-time freelance collaborationRemote-first,with optional access to our Milan office#J-*****-Ljbffr
