Supplier Manager - Commercial Componentsrole atSidelContract type: PermanentCountry:Location: ParmaYour OpportunityThe Supplier Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing suppliers for complex spend categories.They will perform sourcing activities for a defined portfolio of categories at the global and/or local level, in alignment with Group strategy, to drive commodity performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to overall business profitability.Your MissionDevelop and implement short- and mid-term global commodity strategies for assigned categories, including strategic areas.This involves performing and consolidating conclusions from diverse and/or complex analyses (e.g., spend analysis, cost breakdown) and conducting business continuity assessments.Define the annual savings forecast and identify associated risks and opportunities.Manage tenders (RFQs) for complex or strategically allocated commodities.Negotiate contracts with global and local suppliers, covering elements such as pricing, discount rates, quality standards, duration, delivery timelines, and commercial terms and conditions.Manage complex supplier base activities and autonomously lead supplier relationships at a global level.This includes monitoring KPI trends and implementing necessary corrective actions.Understand and validate supplier rationales to drive productivity and meet quality requirements, assessing risks and verifying mitigation plans.Scout and qualify new suppliers to align with category strategy, aiming to develop a sustainable and unique supplier base.Conduct detailed analyses for assigned spend categories.For relevant commodities based on cost, strategic importance, etc., monitor the market through ongoing benchmarking and cost breakdowns to ensure continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and technology, escalating major non-conformities when necessary.Perform business continuity assessments, including financial risk evaluations, supplier dependency analysis, capacity assessments, and dual sourcing analysis.Your ProfileEducation And LanguagesMinimum Education: Master's Degree in Engineering preferred; Business, Economics also accepted.Excellent English mandatory (written and spoken).Fluency in French and Italian an advantage.Required Experience And SkillsMinimum 3-5 years in strategic sourcing in an international manufacturing company.Experience in international negotiation, contracting, supplier and claim management.Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders at different hierarchical levels, and capability of managing conflicting priorities.Experience outside own country of origin is a plus.Target-oriented, resilient and able to work autonomously.Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); SAP, Power BI knowledge is an advantage.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionPurchasing and Supply ChainIndustriesMachinery ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Sidel by 2x#J-*****-Ljbffr
