with hardware engineering and production teams to transition robotic designs from prototype development into volume production.Provide design for manufacturing feedback to simplify designs for highest production efficiency and scalability.Develop adaptable assembly processes to support product design iteration and variable quality of incoming material.Create flexible manufacturing concepts for high-volume production while minimizing complexity and cost.Generate process documentation, manufacturing instructions, and equipment specifications.Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, controls and software issues in production environments.Optimize manufacturing processes to maximize the number of supported product variants.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product applyBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringKnowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assembliesExperience in prototypingExperience collaborating and influencing multiple teams across multiple organizationsExperience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholdersExperience working in an Agile environmentExperience leading the mechanical detailed design of electro-mechanical systemsThorough understanding and use of principals, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering and ability to apply them to product designExperience with full lifecycle developmentExperience evaluating design, performance and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volumeMaster's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or Master's degreeExperience in high-volume manufacturing environmentsExperience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to marketExperience embedding design within product teams for agile design and development collaborationProficiency in mechanical assembly methods, electrical integration, testing and labor across several US geographic markets.The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market.Pay is based on
