Business Auditor, Assistant Vice President, HybridLocation: Milan, Italy (Hybrid).Alternative sites: Frankfurt, Munich, Krakow.Employment type: Full-timeResponsibilitiesPlan, oversee and execute audits according to the Division's risk-based audit methodology, internal standards, and industry practices.Supervise and direct the execution of risk and control assessments, and the testing of key controls.Review audit workpapers to ensure compliance with standards and that conclusions are supported.Draft audit reports that communicate overall conclusions, key risks, identified issues, root causes, and impact on business strategy.Work in partnership with business area management to communicate expectations and manage any project issues during the engagement.Escalate potential and identified issues to senior management and develop solutions with business management.Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned areas, including technology, products, regulations, and global footprint.Establish and maintain strong client relationships with business management across lines of defense.Contribute to change initiatives through working groups and adoption of best practices.Coach and mentor audit staff as part of their ongoing development.QualificationsAbility to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.Experience developing and managing project strategy, leading teams, overseeing deliverables, and prioritizing actions.Proficiency in evaluating business processes, identifying inherent risk, and testing internal controls.Professional, analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements.Fluency in English—written and spoken.Education & Preferred Qualifications6+ years of experience in public accounting or internal auditing with a focus on financial services (custody, fund accounting, asset management).Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.Advanced degree or certification (ACA, ACCA, CFA, FRM) preferred.Experience auditing fund accounting, depositary bank, and custody services.IT general controls audit experience preferred, or related certification (e.g., CISA).Additional RequirementsSome domestic and international travel may be required to State Street operating locations.Equal Opportunity EmployerState Street is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.#J-*****-Ljbffr
