FTR Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to deliver financial forecast reporting for Finance and Business leadership.Encompassing Amazon's leadership principles, this role consolidates complex information into a concise story to help navigate conversations that lead to strategic decision making based on operating expenses and capital expenditures.In this centralized role, you will help tell the FTR financial story through analysis, reporting, and business writing.You will be responsible for defining and driving key financial mechanisms in coordination with our various teams across FTR.Our team owns the consolidation of financial results, managing the forecasting process, and driving process efficiency across the FTR organization.A successful candidate will be able to effectively influence business partners, provide accurate reporting against fast deadlines, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.Candidates should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills as direct interaction with leadership is common.Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics' vision is to deliver a highly automated supply chain with a fulfillment management system that provides end-to-end inventory visibility to streamline processes and facilitate real-time decision making.The highly automated supply chain will be powered by a secure computing infrastructure that provides self-service analytics and support to the growing diversity of network facilities and devices.Key job responsibilities- Business Finance Support: Responsible for delivering consolidated reporting of financial forecasting cycles utilizing financial systems and advanced excel functions.- Enhance existing financial reporting and design new dashboards for financial insights.- Mechanize and streamline financial processes to promote consistent and accurate financial reporting.Identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, or simplify finance processes.- Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners and influence decisions.- Make thoughtful time management decisions independently.Prioritize work, resolve issues, meet deadlines, and seek feedback from your manager.Discern between urgent and non-urgent issues and act accordingly to solve them.Communication- Communicate data in clear, concise, and unambiguous manner both verbally and in writing.- Adjust communications based on audience and can articulate complex finance issues to non-Finance partners.- Have backbone and challenge business partner plans and assumptions when needed.- Navigate across organizations and identify the right teams to participate in discussions.Team Leadership- Take part in hiring and developing activities and mentor new team members.- Positively contribute to work/life harmony on your team and find creative solutions to solve gaps for your team.- Seek, value, and leverage diverse perspectives.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.Preferred Qualifications- MBA, or CPA.- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
