Who We AreSpoki is a Conversational Platform that helps companies build authentic relationships with their customers through WhatsApp and Artificial Intelligence.We believe in the value of genuine connections and provide tools that enable marketing, sales, and customer care teams to communicate in a direct, effective, and personal way.Our culture is built on four key principles: an unwavering passion for what we do, putting customer success first, working as a united and collaborative team, and approaching challenges with an entrepreneurial and results-driven mindset.The roleAsLegal Counselat Spoki, you will be the internal legal guardian of our business operations and growth strategy.This is a strategic, high-impact role designed for a legal professional who understands technology, data privacy, and the evolving AI regulatory landscape.Your mission is to ensure Spoki operates in full legal compliance while enabling rapid business growth through clear contracts, robust data protection practices, and proactive risk management.You'll work at the intersection of law, technology, and business strategy—making legal a competitive advantage, not a bottleneck.This role is for a pragmatic, business-oriented legal professional who thrives in fast-paced tech environments and believes legal should empower innovation, not slow it down.Location:San Vito dei Normanni, ItalyWhat you will do:Contract Management & NegotiationDraft, review, and negotiate B2B commercial contracts (SaaS agreements, MSAs, NDAs, partnership agreements)Manage customer and supplier contracts lifecycle, ensuring compliance and minimizing legal riskSupport sales and business development teams with contract templates, playbooks, and rapid turnaroundNegotiate and finalize contracts with technology providers, vendors, and strategic partnersEnsure contract compliance with Italian, EU, and international commercial lawGDPR & Data Privacy ComplianceDesign and maintain Spoki's GDPR compliance framework and data protection policiesDraft and update privacy policies, cookie policies, data processing agreements (DPAs), and GDPR documentationConduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new products and featuresAct as internal Data Protection Officer (DPO) or coordinate with external DPO when requiredManage data subject requests (access, erasure, portability) and privacy-related inquiriesMonitor evolving EU and national data protection regulations and ensure ongoing complianceSupport implementation of privacy-by-design principles across product and engineering teamsAI Act & Emerging Technology RegulationMonitor and interpret the EU AI Act and related regulations affecting AI-powered productsAssess Spoki's AI systems for compliance with emerging AI regulatory requirementsCollaborate with product and engineering teams to implement AI governance frameworksDraft AI-related DISCLAIMERS, terms of use, and transparency documentationStay ahead of evolving AI regulation across Europe and key international marketsIdeal Candidate ProfileWe are looking for apragmatic, business-oriented Legal & Compliance professionalwith strong experience incommercial contracts, data protection, and emerging technology regulation, who enjoys working closely with fast-moving product, sales, and engineering teams.Experience & BackgroundLaw degree (or equivalent legal qualification);
