OverviewWe are looking for an Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join OhmSpace's Operations team and support the in-house production and industrialisation of our propulsion systems.The role focuses on Selective Laser Melting (SLM), covering machine operation, process development, and integration of additive manufacturing within the production line.You will work closely with Manufacturing, R&D, and Quality teams to take components from qualification to flight readiness, ensuring repeatability, quality, and scalability as we grow our internal manufacturing capabilities.Key responsibilities and tasksDevelop and operate SLM machines for in-house production of qualification and flight componentsSupport the industrialisation of propulsion components from prototype to series productionContribute to the definition and improvement of AM production workflows in collaboration with Manufacturing and QualityProcess Development & OptimizationDefine and optimise AM process parameters to ensure repeatability and part qualityCoordinate post-processing activities with external suppliersApply Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles to improve efficiency and manufacturabilityCross-Functional Technical LeadershipWork closely with R&D to support design for additive manufacturing (DfAM)Interface with Quality to support inspections, documentation, and non-conformance resolutionCollaborate with Integration teams during early production and qualification phasesProject Management & ExecutionLead multi-stakeholder projects, aligning engineering, procurement, quality, and external suppliers toward production milestones.Develop project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation plans.Report KPIs on industrialization progress and manufacturing readiness.Manage additive manufacturing equipment, tools, and related suppliersSupport installation, validation, and maintenance of AM equipmentContribute to process risk assessments and continuous improvement initiativesMandatory Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace EngineeringMinimum 2 years of experience in additive manufacturing, particularly SLM/PBF technologyExperience with equipment industrialisation and production processesKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Industry *******, and ISO ****Ability to perform process risk assessments and basic cost analysesProficiency in CAD and engineering toolsStrong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience managing external suppliersFluent in English and Italian, spoken and writtenPreferred SkillsMaster's degree in an Industrial Engineering disciplineExperience in space or aerospace manufacturing environmentsUnderstanding of space industry quality and production standardsFamiliarity with analysis tools such as FMEA/FMECA, 8D, IshikawaKnowledge of KPIs such as OEE and Vendor RatingThrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you can see the impact of your workCommunicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholdersValue collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellenceTake initiative and approach problems with ownership and autonomyCultureWe are a small and fast-growing team, dedicated, smart, and focussed on our mission to innovate the space industry at every opportunity.We are an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity.Let's build together a positive and enjoyable work environmentEmbrace innovation and continuous learning, being open to new ideas and approaches.Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Manage high-stress situations with prolonged mental concentration effectively.Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and solve problems effectively.Compensation and BenefitsSalary and level will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on job-related skills, education, and experience.Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full TimeIn addition, you will receive the following benefits:Flexible working hours and a well-being–first work cultureProfessional development opportunities, including conferences and trainingCompany-sponsored activities and team-building eventsStock options programme to grow alongside the companyApplicants must have the right to work in Italy and a valid passport.We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace free from discrimination.#J-*****-Ljbffr
