Role: Finance Process Expert (FI/CO) - S/4HANA ProgrammeLocation: Europe (Hybrid/Remote with occasional travel)Industry: Global ManufacturingContract: Freelance/Interim A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking a Finance Process Expert (FI/CO) to support the design of their future-state finance model as part of a large-scale S/4HANA transformation. This role sits at the intersection of business and IT, focusing on process strategy rather than configuration.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the definition and design of future-state Finance & Controlling processesMap end-to-end processes across SAP and non-SAP activitiesAssess cross-functional impacts across Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other areasIdentify organisational changes required (roles, responsibilities, ownership)Provide external best-practice insight and constructively challenge existing ways of workingSupport Fit-to-Standard workshops, process documentation and governanceCollaborate closely with the SI, internal teams and senior stakeholdersExperience RequiredDeep Finance & Controlling process expertiseHands-on S/4HANA transformation experienceStrong workshop leadership and stakeholder engagementAbility to challenge design decisions and guide teams towards best practiceExperience with Signavio (highly desirable)This is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the future finance landscape of a major global organisation - embedding best practices, driving process optimisation, and ensuring a successful S/4HANA journey.
