Engineering Technician (Electrical/Mechanical), Data Center Engineering Operations AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.The role is hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder.Your work will help to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow and maintain highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture.Ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams.Own safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.Operate and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, including UPS, switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS, diesel generators, chillers, HVAC, exhaust fans, VFDs, and transformers.Troubleshoot events within internal SLAs.Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds and log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.).Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.Manually handle and lift equipment as required (weight limits per health & safety regulations).Work shifts as required.About the TeamYou'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You will collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.The culture is inclusive and encourages bold ideas.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.N6 Engineering qualification – Electrical or Mechanical.Preferred Qualifications2+ years of data center engineering experience.Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls).Equal Opportunity EmploymentAmazon is an equal-opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all members of society irrespective of age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion or belief.We are committed to diversity and inclusion within its community.#J-*****-Ljbffr
