Quality Control Engineer

OverviewEnergy Dome is a company with revolutionary technology for large scale and long duration energy storage.Our proprietary technology is based on a thermodynamic process that uses CO2 to store electricity cost-effectively with unprecedented round-trip efficiencies.The simplicity of the process as well as the use of readily available off-the-shelf equipment opens the way for Energy Dome to quickly become an important player in the energy storage market.Our organization, made up of bright young engineers and professionals from all over the world, is constantly growing and today we are looking for a Quality Control Engineer.The role will report to the Quality Control Manager and requires a solid understanding of industrial, power or chemical plant quality control principles, as well as a deep desire to be an active contributor in the energy transition industry.ResponsibilitiesCreation, review and/or approval of Project Inspection and Test Plans, based on contractual requirement and internal standardsReview and approval of preliminary vendor procedures such as welding book, NDE procedure, PWHT procedure, Hardness Test procedure, etc.; review and approval of Inspection and Test Records including Final Manufacturing Record books (MRB), issuing Inspection Release Note at timeCoordinate external inspectors for assignment on all global scaleManage internal and external NCR aspects including creation, discussion and closureCarry out inspection activities directly (when needed) during the manufacturing progress as well as at final stage, by performing VDI and/or attending other inspection tasks like NDE, hydrostatic test, etc.; provide QC support to all internal/external customers, managing correspondence and keeping a productive relationshipEnsure that Company QC Targets are reachedAct proactively by anticipating potential issue, with the aim to be aligned with delivery datePromote the Company culture as well as QHSE policyPromote a health, safe and environmentally responsible working environmentQualificationsMaster's degree is a plusExperience in welding, fabrication and standard NDE techniquesKnowledge of major Codes for pressure vessel (ASME/EN), pressure piping (ASME/EN), structural codes (ASCI/EN) and all major directives, codes and norms such as PED Directive, Machinery Directive, EN****+ISO****, AWS D1.1, etc.CSWIP 3.1, NDE Level II in radiographic interpretation (desirable)European welding engineers or technologist (desirable)Painting certification NACE or FROSIO (desirable)Languages: Italian + professional English are mandatoryWillingness to travel in Italy and abroad is mandatoryA genuine interest in clean technologies and energy transitionPersonal SkillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts effectively and decisivelyExcellent team player, proactive and with problem-solving aptitudeAutonomous with high prioritization approachAnalytical and conceptual thinking; love details but don't miss the big pictureCuriosity, desire to see what is beyond things, willingness to challenge and learnAssertiveness, courage and speed; value autonomous people with an entrepreneurial approach who do not shy away from challenges and decision makingBenefitsSmart working and ticket restaurantCompetitive salary and performance-based bonusesProfessional development opportunities and training programsEnergy Dome is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status, and we encourage all qualified individuals to apply.#J-*****-Ljbffr
