Senior Mechanical Design EngineerAre you passionate about being part of a successful team?Do you enjoy implementing innovative solutions?Join our Mechanical Design TeamOur IET team provides industry-leading products and services that optimize the extraction, production and processing of energy.As a team with integrity, we create value with impactful decisions by effectively connecting ideas and people.Partner with the best.ResponsibilitiesDefine plant layout, including eventual site survey, 3D modelling and assembly.Perform/managing finite element analyses on base frames and structures to validate design.Issue technical documentation (drawings, Bill of Materials and purchasing specifications) for the assigned jobs with high focus on quality, completeness, consistency and alignment with customers and internal/international standards.Design mechanical systems and equipment performing the necessary calculations for systems sizing and components selection.Assign tasks associated to products design to engineering external companies and monitor their progress and deliverables.Support the manufacturing/site team during assembly/installation phase.Attend design reviews and internal meetings with other functions or customers to validate design.Collaborate with procurement for proper design to cost and with suppliers for performing technical alignments.Support continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsHold a degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering.Have work experience in Engineering/Technology department for the Oil & Gas field.Be familiar with turbo-machinery plant integration, maintenance procedure and site installation.Have knowledge of industrial manufacturing process and materials.Have experience in 3D designing/modelling using CAD software (Siemens NX or similar).Have the capability to understand and interpret modelled physical behavior through specific tools (CAESAR, Matlab/Simulink).Have experience in Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS Mechanical tool (or similar).Be a clear thinker: make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information.Show interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with different levels of the organization and external customers.Have an entrepreneurial mindset that allows you to be self-directed, highly resilient, creative and solution oriented.Be fluent in English and Italian and hold an EU work permit.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyBaker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.R#J-*****-Ljbffr
