Incident Response Assistant - NYU FlorenceEUR ***************Position SummaryNew York University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to being a welcoming campus community that reflects and enacts the values of inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity, and accessibility that inform academic excellence.Employees in this organization are expected to contribute to diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible learning and working environments for our students, staff, and faculty.Incident Response Assistant (part-time, ***** month contract) – Incident Response Assistants are on the front line to assist students with any emergencies that arise.They report to the Residence and Student Life Manager, liaising with campus health professionals, and the Facilities Office to respond in person to incidents, report incidents to the correct channels, complete an on-call log at the end of each shift, write incident reports about any emergencies handled, meet with OSL staff once per week, assist with check-in, orientation, and check-out.During office hours, IRAs engage in front and back office tasks in the Office of Student Life and provide information and assistance to students, colleagues, visitors, and collaborators.IRAs ensure equitable and inclusive treatment of students and other stakeholders at all times.Successful candidates must show evidence of their ability to legally work in Italy.QualificationsRequired EducationBachelor's degree or progress toward a bachelor's degreeRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPrompt and thorough communication in English; clear, objective, and thorough writing skills in English; ability to work under pressure; ability to use Microsoft Office suite software.Successful candidates must show evidence of their ability to legally work in Italy.Preferred EducationBachelor's degree in Italian, Psychology, Medicine, Social Work or related fields.Preferred Certification/Other QualificationsFluency in English and ItalianPreferred ExperiencePriority will be given to those candidates who have experience in a school/university environment.Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesWillingness to respond in person to student emergencies when on call; customer service and life education-oriented; show empathy toward others; clear, objective, and thorough written reports that colleagues can act on; collaborative spirit; positive attitude; respect for diverse perspectives.Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience in providing excellent customer serviceAdditional InformationNYU aims to be among the greenest urban campuses in the country and carbon neutral by ****.Learn more at nyu.edu/nyugreen.NYU Florence is an equal opportunity employer committed to equity, diversity, and social inclusion.We strongly encourage applications from under-represented individuals in the profession, across color, creed, race, ethnic and national origin, physical ability, and gender and sexual identity.NYU Florence affirms the value of differing perspectives on the world as we strive to build the strongest possible university with the widest reach.#J-*****-Ljbffr
