Finance & Controlling Manager

Location: Schio, Italy Compensation/salary: Interesting and competitive salary, which will be discussed further in the telephone screening.Start date:As soon as possible, based on the selected candidate's availability.Customer:Our client is a leading, globally operating labelling and packaging group, recognised for its strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation.The company serves a wide range of industries, providing advanced solutions that enhance product visibility, safeguard brands, and improve supply chain performance.With a broad international footprint of several dozen manufacturing sites and a workforce of thousands worldwide, the group has established itself as a financially solid and forward-looking partner to leading multinational brands.About the position:The Finance & Controlling Manager will take full ownership of the site's finance function and ensure operational continuity.This is a hands-on role with strong operational involvement, combining accounting, controlling, and reporting responsibilities.The position is not purely managerial and requires direct execution of core finance activities, close interaction with site management, and regular interface with Group Finance.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Managerial Duties:Full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the finance function at site level.Close collaboration with accounting resources and external finance support.Act as the main point of contact for external accountants, auditors, and local Italian finance stakeholders.Support the future development of the finance function as the site continues to grow.General Responsibilities:Full responsibility for local accounting in accordance with Italian GAAP.Ensure compliance with Italian tax, accounting, and statutory requirements.Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.Personally handle operational finance topics when required.Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of all accounting and financial data.Special Responsibilities:Preparation and submission of monthly management reporting (P&L, working capital, cash-flow related data).Responsibility for meeting Group Finance reporting deadlines.Preparation of ad-hoc financial analyses for site management and Group Finance.Active use of Jobs3 (local accounting / ERP), Lucanet (group consolidation), and Excel for analysis and reporting.Support and participate in annual budgeting and rolling forecasts (P&L and cash-flow).Provide financial insights to support operational and management decision-making.Preconditions:Solid professional experience in accounting, ideally complemented by controlling responsibilities.Previous experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP.Experience with month-end and year-end closings and management reporting.Fluency in English and Italian.High level of hands-on mentality and ability to operate in deadline-driven environments.The candidate does not need to be a proven manager; instead, the role requires strong finance expertise, a clear understanding of day-to-day business needs, and the ability to act as a dependable partner to both site management and Group Finance.Personal Attributes:Pragmatic, reliable, and execution-oriented.Strong sense of ownership and accountability.Comfortable combining responsibility with operational involvement.Trustworthy partner for both site management and Group Finance.Employment type:Full-time contract.Benefits:Competitive compensation with performance bonus.Key finance role in a strategically important manufacturing site.Direct exposure to group-level finance structures and international reporting.Collaborative and international working environment.Opportunity to grow within a leading, globally operating Group.#J-*****-Ljbffr
