Job Title bSpace Mission Designer & DeveloperbCompany Job offered by Telespazio – Leonardo Space Division, a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%).Telespazio is a global reference in satellite solutions and services with a workforce of over 3,300 professionals across Europe and worldwide.Responsibilities Analysis, Design and Modelling of Innovative Space MissionsTrade-offs between promising space technologies applicable to the missions of interestSimulation and Proof of Concepts of innovative space solutionsAR/VR/MR Interactive SimulationsSupport to the End2End system developmentQualifications Degree/PhD in Telecommunication or Aerospace engineering – IntermediateTechnical Skills RF Payload Architecture: deep understanding of transponders, High Power Amplifiers (TWTA/SSPA), frequency converters, and complex antenna systems (e.g., Active Phased Arrays and Beamforming) relevant to satellite, spacecraft and ground terminalsLink Budget Analysis: mastery of calculating the Eb/N0 considering atmospheric loss, rain fade, and cosmic interferenceStandards & Protocols: expertise in DVB-S2X for high-throughput data, CCSDS and SDA protocols for ESA/NASA missionsModulation & Coding: knowledge of advanced schemes like 16APSK/32APSK and error correction (LDPC, Turbo Codes)Optical Communications: knowledge in design of Inter-Satellite Links (ISL) and Optical Ground Stations (OGS) for LEO/GEO constellations and Moon/Mars communications.Solid programming capability in Python and MATLABPreferred Skills Knowledge of orbital mechanics for mission analysis and design of space missions and experience with tools for trajectory design and mission simulation (e.g. STK / GMAT).Knowledge of the System Engineering & Model-Based System Engineering approaches to apply along project life-cycle, from requirement management, architecture and design definition to development and verification/validation activitiesInterest in AR/VR/MR technologies for the development of immersive simulations, training tools, or interactive system visualizationsProblem-SolvingAdaptability & FlexibilityTime Management & OrganizationInterpersonal SkillsRequirements Good knowledge of the English language is required.Availability for business trips, if necessary.What We Offer A stimulating and dynamic working environment with flexible working hoursHybrid working (onsite and off-site)Meal voucher, company canteen and employee welfare programsFree access to online learning platform with courses from top universitiesOpportunities for international experiencesEEO Statement Telespazio actively fosters an inclusive, diverse, and stimulating work environment, promoting the principles of equity and the value of diversity.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or age.#J-*****-Ljbffr
