NACOS Marine is a globally integrated group of companies at the forefront of maritime automation, navigation, and control systems.Building on decades of expertise and a heritage of trusted solutions, NACOS Marine continues to pioneer technologies that set the standard for safer, smarter, and more efficient ship operations worldwide.Within our Customer Delivery Organization, we ensure that our advanced solutions are delivered, commissioned, and supported to the highest standards keeping vessels operational and customers satisfied across their lifecycle.Role OverviewWe are now looking for a Senior Service Engineer (m/f/d) Navigation to join our Field Service NAV Team in Genova or Monfalcone, Italy.As part of NACOS Marine APSS, serving the Italian cruise market, you will take a lead technical role in commissioning, servicing, and handing over complex navigation systems on board cruise and merchant vessels.You will act as a trusted technical expert on-site, representing NACOS Marine toward customers, shipyards, and classification societies.This role requires a high level of technical competence, independence, and customer-facing professionalism.You will execute and lead service activities according to defined work plans while actively contributing to quality improvement, customer satisfaction, and knowledge sharing within the service organization.The position reports directly to the Field Service Team Leader.Key ResponsibilitiesLead commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced marine navigation and control systemsPerform system checks, adjustments, configuration, and fine-tuning of complex navigation installationsExecute and oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and warranty activities in shipyards and onboard vesselsAct as technical lead during sea trials and, when required, serve as warranty engineerPresent and hand over navigation systems to shipowners, shipyards, and classification societiesIndependently execute complex repairs, upgrades, and system overhaulsEnsure all work complies with NACOS Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and customer-specific proceduresMaintain clear, professional communication with customers and project stakeholders throughout service executionPrepare accurate service, commissioning, and warranty documentation and reportsIdentify improvement opportunities, support continuous improvement initiatives, and promote NACOS solutions to customersAct as a mentor and technical reference for less experienced service engineers when requiredKey RequirementsDegree or diploma in Electronics, Automation, Navigation, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical experienceSeveral years of professional experience in marine service and commissioning, preferably on cruise or merchant vesselsStrong expertise in marine navigation systems; experience with NACOS Platinum, gyro, and steering systems is highly preferredExcellent troubleshooting capabilities across hardware, software, and system interfacesAbility to read, interpret, and work independently from electrical drawings and technical documentationStructured, solution-oriented, and hands-on working style with strong ownership mindsetExcellent interpersonal, intercultural, and customer communication skillsFluency in English (written and spoken); Italian proficiency is an advantageWillingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwideWhy Choose UsAt NACOS Marine, we empower experienced professionals to take ownership, lead by example, and shape the future of maritime technology.You will work in an international, highly technical environment where expertise is valued, collaboration drives innovation, and continuous learning is encouraged.You will play a key role in delivering mission-critical navigation systems to some of the world's most advanced vessels, while growing your professional impact in a company committed to safety, sustainability, and technical excellence.Job function: Maritime Transportation#J-*****-Ljbffr
