OverviewTechnical Support Engineer, Italy Viking EMEA • Milano, provincia di Milano; Lombardia, ItalyDescrizione dell'offerta di lavoro: The Technical Support Engineer is our recognized, trusted technical expert for the Italian market.You build a strong and trustful relationship with customers and stakeholders and you offer technical support to customers with a focus on design and Features & Benefits to influence purchasing demands.You ensure that our Viking brand is at the forefront of our clients via training to customers, insurers, end-users, consultants and other specifiers of fire protection equipment.Your duties include making visits to specifiers (insurers, fire authorities, end-users, consultants etc) as well as networking in the engineering/building community and supporting local industry related organisations.You will have commercial responsibilities for Water Mist (Econaqua/Procon) and Foam systems.You work closely within our great local team of Sales, Customer Service in Italy and your Technical Support colleagues in other territories.Main dutiesBuild a strong and trustful relationship with customer and stakeholders;offer technical support to customers with a focus on design and Features & Benefits;Influence purchasing demands;Training to customer, end user, consultants, specifiers of FP;Commercial responsibilities for Water Mist (Econaqua/Procon) and Foam systems;Build a specification and quotation pipelineProvide technical support to customers and specifiers for water based product rangeOrganize and provide training and seminarsMaintain strong contacts with system stakeholders (for example end users, engineers & insurers) to provide assistance and work towards getting Viking products specifiedWork closely within the technical support team in EMEAAdditional dutiesBuild a specification and quotation pipelineAssist our customers in complex projects to identify the systems and products they requireProvide technical support to customers and specifiers for water based product rangeProvide technical support to colleagues with accurate technical informationOrganize and provide training and seminarsProvide on-site assistance to customers as necessaryMaintain strong contacts with system stakeholders (for example end users, engineers & insurers) to provide assistance and work towards getting Viking products specifiedWork with our product management team to define our product offering and manage our local product approvalsWork closely within the technical support team in EMEAWork closely with the sales, operations and marketing department to launch new productsParticipate in Standards Committees and Trade Association and drive the development of the sprinkler industryDefine and realize solutions for local standards / regulationsIdeally, you are based in Milan area (Viking Italy office is in Milan).The position requires occasional traveling mostly in Italy, but visits may be required to other countries as well.The Technical Sales Engineer will report to the Sales Manager of Viking Italia, also based in Milan.Qualifications and experienceBackground in technical / business development within the fire protection or related businessEngineering background (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronical) and understanding for the jargon within the contracting businessGood knowledge of Fire protection rules, experience in the design of systems would be an assetsKnowledge of special hazards engineering is nice to havePrefab/pipework installation experience is desirableProven technical skills, experiencesItalian and English languages are a must, French language skills would be an advantage, but are not a pre-requisitePersonal characteristicsYou have a helicopter perspective, able to prioritize and get things doneYou are well presented, enthusiastic with the drive to succeed in a competitive but developing marketYou are valued for your excellent interpersonal communication skills - you can communicate, interact and adapt to all levels in the organization through various channels and methodsYou are able to build strong relationships and networks through trust and integrityYou are a self-starter, well organized, able to prioritize and you get things doneYou are a listener and able to influence, motivate and convince when neededYou are result oriented and have a strong sense of commitment to deliverOur offerStable company:for over three decades, our company has stood the test of time, weathering economic shifts, technological revolutions, and industry changes.We are not just stable;
