We are looking for a Senior System Admin with many years of experience in implementing and managing solutions in the datacenter with a focus on virtualization and storage on highly complex projects.The professional will implement and maintain infrastructure solutions based on Linux, VMware, and NetApp.The professional will gain significant experience in system consulting, dealing with highly complex projects, and gaining skills in the most innovative and high-performance technologies.The role will support the division in the research and development, single accountable of the technical project responsibilities, objectives, milestones and deliverables.ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and manage RHEL systems and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environments.Administer KVM virtualization, Puppet automation, and kernel-level tuning.Implement system patching, STIG compliance, and release/version control.Monitor performance, handle incident response, and ensure uptime and data integrity.Automate tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or equivalent configuration management tools.Maintain backup and recovery solutions and ensure disaster recovery readiness.Maintain accurate and comprehensive configuration documentation.QualificationsSystem configurationManagement of VXBlock (Dell)Management of Hypervisor Vmwave (Vsphere, Vcenter, ESXi)Management IDM (RedHat Identity Management)Disaster recovery planningAnsible usage to install S.O. e MiddlewarePCFS (Parallel cluster file system) IBM Spectrum Scale (GPFS) usageProficiency with Microsoft Office products.Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.Background in programming skills.10+ years of experience.Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and other vendor-specific certifications are valuable for demonstrating advanced skills.The person should be located in Rome (Italy) or nearby.Focus on the outcome of the team above the individual needs, with respect and honest challenge.Team player.Within- and cross-team collaboration at the technical level."Can do attitude", willing to solve any obstacle by himself.Self-starter and self-motivated.What do we offer?Join an innovative team and experience company growth.We believe in investing in our employees and providing them with the opportunities they need to grow and develop their careers.Enjoy a hybrid work environment.We also offer flexible schedule.We offer a remuneration that values your experience.The role can be based in Barcelona (Spain) or Rome (Italy).We are looking for outstanding people willing to join our mission to change this industry and help to build a better world.If you feel identified with Openchip, please contact us.We can offer a competitive compensation package in a flexible work schema that will help you to keep a balance between your personal and professional life.AtOpenchip & Software Technologies S.L., we believe a diverse and inclusive team is the key to groundbreaking ideas.We foster a work environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential – regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity.#J-*****-Ljbffr
