About Prime VideoPrime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads. Role OverviewAs a Principal Product Manager – Tech for the Personalization & Discovery team, you'll shape the future of entertainment by owning end-to-end product strategy and vision to deliver exceptional, data-driven user experiences worldwide.
ResponsibilitiesOwn a substantial portion of the product strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute that vision. Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, science, project management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, content acquisition, and executive teams to optimize the Prime Video Personalization & Discovery customer experience. Drive technology decisions and strategy related to a product, leading engineering discussions and balancing feature delivery with trade-offs. Work independently while excelling as part of a high-performing team, maintaining a customer-focused mindset and delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Take end-to-end ownership of product initiatives, ensuring customers' best interests remain central throughout the lifecycle. Basic Qualifications2+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience8+ years of technical product or program management experienceExperience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a productExperience owning / driving roadmap strategy and definitionExperience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a productExperience technical product managementPreferred QualificationsExperience working directly with Engineers on product enhancementsExperience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvementCompensation and BenefitsThe base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
