Position Title: HVAC LeadLocation: Milan, Italy (Engineering Phase) / Afungi Site, Mozambique (Execution Phase)Type: 1-Year Rolling Contract | Long-Term Project AssignmentPosition OverviewThe HVAC Lead will oversee the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of HVAC systems for a major onshore LNG facility. This role ensures systems are delivered, tested, and handed over to Operations in full compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and schedule commitments.During the engineering phase in Milan, the HVAC Lead will review designs, participate in FATs, and coordinate with EPC and vendor teams to prepare for field execution. During the execution phase at site, the position leads all HVAC commissioning activities, manages interfaces between multiple contractors, and ensures successful start-up and handover to Operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate all HVAC commissioning activities, from preparation through handover.Review and validate contractor documentation, commissioning procedures, and test reports.Participate in FATs, pre-commissioning, and RFSU activities.Manage site interfaces between contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.Track progress, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of mechanical completion milestones.Ensure all systems meet design intent, safety, and quality standards.Coordinate with Operations for seamless turnover and startup readiness.Provide technical input and feedback during the engineering and execution phases.Supervise and mentor assigned team members during site execution. Qualifications & Experience:Education:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process, or HVAC Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline). Experience:15+ years of experience in onshore/offshore energy or LNG projects.10+ years in a supervisory capacity overseeing technical or commissioning teams.10+ years of commissioning experience with HVAC or Control & Instrumentation systems, including at least 5 years in senior commissioning roles.Proven ability to manage contractor interfaces, vendor coordination, and complex commissioning scopes.Strong working knowledge of international standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices. Additional InformationContract Type: 1-Year Rolling Contract (renewable based on project performance)Rotation: Rotation schedule during the site execution phaseDuration: Engineering phase in Milan, followed by site execution in MozambiqueTravel: Required for FATs, vendor meetings, and site mobilization
