Are you a detail-oriented, proactive individual with a strong foundation in accounting and financial controls?We're looking for a Senior accountant to join our finance team, where your focus will be onInternal controls, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and a variety ofad-hoc financial tasks.If you're passionate about ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and contributing to a well-organized finance department, we want to hear from youKey Responsibilities:Internal controls/SOX Compliance:Assist in maintaining and testing internal controls to ensure financial reporting is compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.Support SOX audits and work with internal and external auditors to provide documentation and explanations as needed.Journal Entries:Post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries accurately and timely.Review and ensure proper account classification and compliance with accounting policies.Account Reconciliations:Perform regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.Follow up on outstanding items and ensure resolutions are in line with company procedures.Reporting:Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to support senior management in decision-making.Ad-Hoc Financial Tasks:Handle a variety of other financial tasks as needed, including system updates, process improvements, and financial analysis for special projects.Ad-Hoc Administration Tasks:Help other teams as required.Legal, Operations, etc.What We're Looking For:Italian and Englishspeaker.Experience:Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, with a focus on compliance, accounting, and reconciliations.Experience in financial reporting and working in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.Knowledge:Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements.Technical Skills:Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (advanced skills preferred).Experience with ERP systems is a plus.Attention to Detail:High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.Communication:Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Adaptability:Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in an environment with varying priorities.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustriesMaritime TransportationGet notified about new Senior Accountant jobs inOlbia, Sardinia, Italy.#J-*****-Ljbffr
