Job description The successful candidate will join the Civil Engineering Team working on the design and construction of new buildings and modifications of existing buildings and related appurtenances and external areas, including those necessary for the new Elettra 2.0 machine currently in the construction phase.He/she will contribute to the definition and design of new implementations as well as changes to the existing ones for what concerns both technical aspects such as reports, technical specifications, drawings, metric calculations, etc., and technical/administrative aspects, including tender specifications and documents, relations with institutions, etc.He/she will also collaborate to the construction supervision.He/she will participate and work in the management and ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the existing buildings on the company premises, including offices, laboratories, technical and/or service rooms, roads, green areas, external installations, sewage system, etc..In the framework of the Civil Engineering Team, he/she will have management duties and carry out tasks that require specific preparation and professional skills, with discretionary powers and right of decision and independent initiative within the limits of the general directives given to him/her.Qualifications A Master degree in civil engineering or building engineering is required.Italian candidates should have obtained the degree according to the Italian university system prior to the DM (Ministerial Decree) ******** reform or a corresponding class 28/S specialistic degree (LS) or a corresponding master's degree (LM) belonging to classes LM-23, LM-24 and LM-26 of the new system, according to the table annexed to the Interministerial Decree of 9 July ****, published in the Italian Official Gazette of 7 October ****, no. 233.The enrollment in the official register of italian professional engineers is an essential requirement.At least one year of experience in the civil engineering field is required, specifically in the design and/or construction and/or management and/or maintenance of building works and/or infrastructures, including on-site safety aspects.Good knowledge of yard accounting is expected.Experience and proficiency in design using CAD and in standard word processing and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are also expected.Knowledge and experience in the application of design and project management methodologies using Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, with reference to both design and operation/maintenance phases will be considered an important additional asset.Preference will be given to candidates who have gained experience in the civil engineering field in the public works sector, with knowledge of technical, administrative, and safety aspects related to temporary or mobile construction sites, pursuant to Legislative Decree ******* and subsequent amendments.Good oral and written communication skills in English are required.Good time management skills and ability to prioritize are expected, together with the ability to interact with staff at all levels and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.The appointment envisioned is a fixed term contract with an initial duration of 12 months.The salary will be commensurate with previous experience and qualifications of the candidate.Applications should include full curriculum vitae and the names and contact information (including e-mail address) of one professional references.The interviews could be performed through video conferencing.The ranking of suitable candidates resulting from this selection process may be used within the following 24 months.For more information, please contact Salvatore Noè (email: Employees or former employees of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A., as well as current or former personnel provided by temporary work agencies will be excluded from the present selection procedure.Employees or former employees of any Italian Public Entity who have exercised authority over Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A. or have negotiated with Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A. within the last three years will also be excluded from the present selection procedure, in accordance with the provisions of article 21 of the Italian legislative decree no. ******* and in conjunction with article 53 (subsection16ter) of Italian legislative decree no. ********.
