How will you make a difference?As a Senior Software Engineer with a specialization for audio functionalities, you will work in multiple projects and be responsible for the implementation and configuration of real time audio streaming features, IP network configurations and protocols, devices diagnostics, compatibility to 3rd party devices and cyber security requirements.You will work for Annax, a Wabtec site specialized in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways.There is a new development team in Piossasco, dedicated to strengthening the portfolio of tram projects.What will your typical day look like?Define tasks and work packagesConfiguration and implementation of features in the context of a projectDevelop, test and document your codeDesign module and framework extensionsConfigure and integrate ANNAX software and Linux servicesAnalyze issues and fix bugsApply cyber security rulesEvaluate and elaborate new technologiesWhat do we want to know about you?Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similarKnow-How in VoIP technologies, especially Asterisk PBX, SIP & RTP in an embedded context considering limited memory, CPU and network resourcesProfessional knowledge of Linux, Embedded Linux, IP networksOther skills: C++, scripting languages (bash, python), Unit Testing, UMLDocumentation with doxygen, sphinx and plantumlAdministration of code with svn, git, gitlabProfessional EnglishWorks well independentlyExcited about distributed systems and having fun with themAvailable to travel occasionallyLegal authorization to work in EU is required.We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.Please note that we do not accept agency candidate submissions without a formalized agreement with Wabtec Talent Acquisition.If you are an agency/third party Recruiter and have not been engaged by Wabtec for this search, we do not owe you a fee if you submit a candidate to the applicant tracking system that is ultimately hired.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology and EngineeringIndustriesRailroad Equipment Manufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
