Job Description SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the activities of gears manufacturing processes. She/He will take full responsibility of the assigned hardware, developing the manufacturing plan and/or optimizing the existing one to achieve the required targets in terms of process feasibility and robustness, product quality, product cost and capacity sustainment. She/He will also analyze quality KPI for the improvement plan of the assigned P/N.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesSupport concurrent engineering activities with the design engineers and/or with the customerDefine tooling/router design effort between external suppliers and Avio Aero Manufacturing EngineerDrive suppliers of tooling during all steps from the concept to the functional test and related validationManage design and process reviews, to monitor the status of industrialization/ improvement plan for the assigned P/N.Support operating personnel during the production of the first batchManage the technical validation according with internal proceduresIdentify processes optimization to be implementedSupport Customer Quality Engineering for the anomaly report submitted to Customer and sustain Customer review of the proposed improvement planBring new ideas and positive support to the current processDevelop and consolidate best practices and standards for gears manufacturingQualifications/RequirementsMaster Degree in Mechanical is a plus or Industrial Technical Diploma with experience in aerospace manufacturing.Basics of gears manufacturing and of NDTBasics of metrology principles applied to geometrical tolerancesAbility to read technical drawings and specificationsAbility to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutionsAbility to manage activities simultaneouslyStrong organizational skillsPrevious experience of work in a matrix organizationItalian and English fluentWork Visa, according to local regulation, is required.Desired CharacteristicsExperience in manufacturing Gears and mechanical parts is a plusStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAnalytical mindset; structured problem solving; attention to detailStrong oral and written communication skillsPrior experience with Flight DeckContinuous improvement mindset; curiosity for new technologiesPrioritization and planning in fast-paced environmentsWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
