Commodity Manager : Manage procurement and purchasing of key commodities of Direct Materials and some indirect categories to ensure timely availability of goods and materials at optimized TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Development and implementation of sourcing and procurement strategies for Watts Industries Germany in line with the European and global (sourcing) strategy Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and demand forecasts. Develop sourcing strategies for assigned commodities aligned with company goals Identify cost reduction opportunities through sourcing, process improvements, or value engineering. Benchmarking; identification of new (backup) sources and continuous improvement of the supply base to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain (quality and timing) at optimal TCO Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts, terms and planning Troubleshooting supply problems Ensuring the completeness and integrity of supplier data, purchasing records and related documentation Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets QUALIFICATIONS At least 5 years' experience as a commodity manager or in a similar position in an industrial environment Proven track record in the procurement of technical products Sound knowledge of procurement and supply chain management Supervisory and leadership experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems Excellent written and spoken communication skills in German and English Critical thinking and strong negotiation skills Strong planning and organizational skills Ability to work in a team and independently EDUCATION University degree in sourcing, supply chain management, business administration or a related field TRAVEL *****% J-*****-Ljbffr
