Job ID: ******* | Amazon Web Services Japan GKAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDeployment of data center controls on time, with effective management of vendors to ensure minimal defects at the Power and Facilities Hand-Off (PFHO).Delivery of critical projects to upgrade data center automation.Service and support to partner teams, diagnosing and resolving Loss of Visibility (LOV), Loss of Resilience (LOR), Large Scale Event (LSE), Critical Scale Event (CSE), and other operational events within predefined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Delivery of further initiatives to improve the efficiency of our data centers and our operational procedures.A Day in the LifeJoin the cloud leader: You'll contribute to AWS's leading position through its functional, community, and security expertise.Be at the nexus of action: You'll represent Amazon, building relationships across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.Build at scale: Participate in building and operating infrastructure at a global scale.Leverage your unique background to drive innovation.Continuous growth and learning: Access training materials and courses to become an AWS expert.About the TeamThe Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service (DCCD APAC CDS) team delivers and services the control systems that monitor and ensure the health of our data centers.APAC CDS covers six business domains: deployments, projects, service, colo, on-call support, and management.We work in a competitive environment where evolving and innovating is key.Basic Qualifications• Controls system experience: building unified automated systems for enterprise-level clients, consolidating equipment and subsystems with hardware, software, networking products from multiple vendors.• Project management experience: ability to understand electrical/control diagrams and schematics, control panel Bill of Materials (BoM), inspection, testing and commissioning, managing project scope, schedule, cost, stakeholder expectations, vendor/sub-contractors.Preferred QualificationsCritical environment experience.Electrical or mechanical controls systems experience.Controls construction / controls technology experience.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
