Lead Auditor

RINA is currently recruiting for a Lead Auditor - Sustainability and ESG to join its office in Genova, Italy within the Mediterranean Report Generation: Draw up comprehensive audit reports detailing findings and recommendations for certification decisions.Follow-Up Management: Manage the follow-up process, including tracking non-conformities and corrective actions, ensuring resolution and compliance.Technical Review: Conduct technical reviews of audit files and propose certification decisions based on thorough analysis.Resource Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of resources involved in the certification process, providing guidance and support as needed.Data Management: Maintain updated records of customer data and other information relevant to the audit process.Education Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science Qualifications 4+ years of experience in auditing, specifically within management systems or industry standards (ISO, etc.) with at least 2 years of work experience in the field of sustainability Consultancy or audit in the field of greenhouse gas declarations (GHG inventories, GHG reduction projects, carbon footprint, climate neutrality), EPD, certification services for fuel quality directive/renewables, bioenergy, circular economy, bio-based economy Proven experience of second or third party audits in the field of governance and social responsibility standards, such as ISO *****, ISO *****, SA****, PAS *****, SMETA, BSCI, WRAP Expertise in human rights, working conditions, diversity and inclusion, including supply chain mapping and due diligence activities Knowledge of the main reporting standards (GRI, ESRS, etc.) and of the applicable national and international legislation on sustainability (CSRD, CSDDD, DNSH, etc.) APSCA registration at the CSCA level Strong understanding of audit planning, execution, and reporting processes Proven ability to lead and manage audit programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry requirements Expertise in conducting document reviews, identifying non-conformities and providing actionable recommendations Skilled in technical reviews and defining audit results, including corrective actions Excellent communication skills for conducting interviews, reporting findings, and engaging with customers In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies Strong ability to monitor resource performance and ensure compliance with audit requirements Up-to-date qualifications and certifications, including Lead Auditor certification (ISO, etc.) Availability for daily travel within the national territory Knowledge of written and spoken English and Italian Competencies PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT -
