We were meant to fly.The Thermal and Cooling Lead Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development and validation of advanced cooling technologies for the next generation of gas turbine combustion systems, including development rig and engine test campaigns, planning, monitoring, data reduction and documentation. In this role you will learn processes that meet business needs across the organization, participate in solving complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesDetailed thermal analysis, design, and test functions required to define components, assemblies, and systems that meet program and product requirementsUse and development of engineering tools to perform thermal evaluationsSuccessful planning, design and execution of test programsCompliant communications of thermal technical dataLean / Six SigmaQualifications/RequirementsMaster's degree (preferred) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university with a focus on combustion systemsProven relevant thermal design experienceFluent English and Italian knowledgeWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsTechnical aptitude in combustion science, experimental testing and large data processingClear thinker and effective problem solverIndependence / work without direct supervisionEffective program management and executionFlexible & friendly approach to working in global teamsWhat We OfferSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes smart work in hybrid mode, and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
