Infrastructure & Renewable Energy Advisory (Project Finance)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced and commercially driven Advisory to join a fast-growing infrastructure & Renewable energy advisory platform in Milan.The successful candidate will play a key role in originating, structuring, and executing complex debt financing solutions across a wide array of infrastructure sectors including renewable energy, transport, utilities, and social infrastructure.This is a senior position requiring deep technical expertise in project finance, a strong understanding of the debt market (banks and funds), a proactive approach to business development, and proven leadership capabilities.Key Responsibilities :1. Origination & Business DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong client relationships with sponsors, developers, and financial institutions.Create and deliver compelling pitches and proposals.Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to inform strategy.2. Transaction ExecutionLead the full lifecycle of debt advisory mandates from structuring through to financial close.Build and oversee sophisticated financial models assessing project economics, debt sizing, and sensitivities.Negotiate complex financing documentation (e.g., term sheets, loan agreements, intercreditor arrangements).Manage all due diligence workstreams and liaise with legal, technical, and commercial advisors.Coordinate and negotiate with a range of lenders including banks, institutional investors, DFIs, and ECAs.3. Financial Analysis & ModelingOversee the development and review of project finance models to ensure quality and lender compliance.Conduct deep analysis of project risks, mitigants, and financial outcomes.Provide actionable insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams.4. Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Associates and Analysts.Promote a collaborative, commercially focused culture within the team.Share technical expertise and guide juniors through live transactions.5.
