Company Description The Ansaldo Energia Group is one of the world's leading power generation companies.Its core business is the supply and service of components and technological solutions for power generation with rotating machines.The company designs and manufactures turbines and generators, and provides service and continuous improvement.Headquartered in Genoa, the Group employs more than 3,300 people and has a strong international presence with more than 30 offices around the world.Ansaldo Energia is one of the leading players in the transformation and decarbonisation of power generation.Its turbogas fleet is already capable of burning between 40 and 70 per cent hydrogen, with the aim of reaching 100 per cent by ****.Position We are looking for experienced and motivated buyers to join our team.The ideal candidates will be responsible for procuring, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services, balancing cost, quality, and delivery by managing suppliers, analyzing market trends, and ensuring continuity of supply.Key tasks include identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and maintaining supplier relationships to achieve operational and cost-effectiveness goals.Specific areas of interest are: Materials for Turbine and Generators, including outsourcing activities and spare parts.This position requires a deep understanding of the mechanical industry and procurement practices.Investments and services for large machine tools, including their maintenance and spare parts management.This position requires a deep understanding of the machine tool industry and procurement practices.BOP Goods and services, linked to complex projects, including materials, equipment, and subcontracting.This position requires a deep understanding of the EPC environment and maintenance contracts in sectors like energy, infrastructure, industrial plants, and related procurement practices.Mechanical components and sub-systems belonging to the auxiliary systems of gas turbines, steam turbines and generators services for large machine tools, including their spare parts management.This position requires a former knowledge of the power machine operation as well as of the procurement practices.Main responsibiities · Identify and evaluate suppliers.· Negotiate contracts and supply conditions to ensure the best value for money.· Manage the procurement process, from requesting quotes to selecting suppliers.· Monitor supplier performance and manage long-term relationships.· Collaborate with the Service team to ensure the timely availability of necessary spare parts.· Analyze market trends and technological innovations to optimize procurement strategies · Ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.Requirements Degree in Engineering or a related field Proven experience in Procurement, knowledge of procurement practices and supplier management.Knowledge of industry regulations, procedures and contractual clauses.Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance processes.In-depth knowledge of industrial components and technologies.Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Experience in managing spare parts and equipment.Knowledge of procurement management software and ERP systems.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Knowledge of English written and spoken; ability to hold conversations in the language.Knowledge of other languages is a plus Travel commitment: Less than 10% Other information This announcement is addressed to candidates of both genders in accordance with the law (L.******)
