Senior Software Engineer (.NET & Windows Forms)Emilia-RomagnaEUR ***************Who We AreOur client is a world-leading reinsurance and risk management company, delivering comprehensive solutions across insurance, underwriting, and data-driven risk assessment.With a strong focus on innovation and long-term stability, they support clients in addressing complex risks and driving sustainable value in an ever-changing global landscape.What You'll Be DoingDevelop and maintain robust desktop applications using C#, .NET Framework, and Windows Forms, ensuring high performance, stability, and user-friendly interfacesImplement and maintain backend components and RESTful APIs using ASP.NET CoreDesign efficient data access layers using Entity Framework, LINQ, and Microsoft SQL Server for secure and performant data operationsWork with Telerik UI components to enhance desktop application functionality and user experienceApply OOP and SOLID principles to ensure maintainable, scalable, and high-quality codebasesWrite clean, testable, and well-structured backend logic, emphasizing performance, reliability, and long-term maintainabilityImplement asynchronous programming (async/await) where necessary to improve responsivenessCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, refine specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needsParticipate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure adherence to coding standardsTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications with a strong focus on performance and stabilityContribute to technical documentation, including system specifications and implementation detailsWork within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver incremental improvements and support continuous integration and delivery processesExcellent command of both spoken and written EnglishWhat You'll Bring AlongBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceMinimum 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on C#, .NET Framework, and Windows FormsStrong hands-on experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core / .NET *******+ for backend and API developmentProficiency with Entity Framework, LINQ, and ORM concepts for building efficient and maintainable data layersSolid experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and working with ASP.NET Core for backend servicesStrong foundation in OOP, SOLID, and software engineering best practicesExperience using Git or other version control systemsHands-on experience with Telerik WinForms UI controls and the Telerik Data Access ORMStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication abilities and confidence in interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience working with Agile development methodologies and delivering software in an iterative, collaborative environmentExcellent command of both spoken and written EnglishNice to HaveExposure to Azure or other cloud platformsExperience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MoqKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and DevOps practicesUnderstanding of desktop UX/UI design principlesJob FunctionEngineering and Information TechnologyIT Services and IT Consulting#J-*****-Ljbffr
