strategic technical guidance on AI/ML systems, autonomous robotics, and quality automation solutionsDefine and communicate system integration and evaluation strategies for physical AI deployments across global fulfillment centersContribute to product roadmaps and drive cross-functional execution prioritiesIdentify and analyze tradeoffs between design alternatives, including impact on performance, schedule, cost, risk, complexity, and scalabilityDesign and develop test systems for validating AI-powered design tools, digital twin generation, and agentic workflow automationLead code reviews and maintain high standards for technical documentationPartner with design engineers to ensure testability and quality throughout developmentDesign and execute test strategies for facility design, inspection, and qualification toolsWrite status and build reports for cross-functional leadership reviewMentor engineers and share best practices across multi-disciplinary teamsAbout the TeamYou will be joining the Engineering Quality Management team within World Wide Design Engineering, where you'll drive impactful, solve challenging problems, and develop AI powered solutions that and machine learning to deliver solutions that impact millions of customers daily.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of infrastructure automation delivered through the software development lifecycle in an API-enabled environment, including agile development, software architecture/patterns, and modern cloud servicesKnowledge of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Rust, Java, C/C++), and a solid understanding of the Linux operating systemKnowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellenceExperience in an engineering or delivery role for a large enterprise10+ years of software development experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field5+ years of integration, testing and automation experiencePreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or PhDExperience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submittalsExperience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmapsExperience working with and influencing senior
