Reporting and AdministrationDirectly report to the Country Representative (1st Supervisor) and to the Regional Program Manager (2nd Supervisor)Functionally report to donor/thematic focal point/s for each specific sector and donorThe Program Coordinator works in conjunction with other members of the programs team to administer the portfolio of grants for AVSI Mozambique.Primary tasks range from grants management to the review and analysis of funding requests while actively contributing to the overall growth and strategic development of the organization as well as ensuring quality implementation of projects.This position requires a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with personnel, programmatic, and finance matters.He/She must be friendly, courteous, and have a professional approach towards donors, staff and stakeholders.Business Development, Project Implementation and ManagementSupervise and have the final responsibility for the implementation of all the project activities in accordance with the projected/approved proposal, budget, financial planning and time scheduleSupervise and contribute for the achievement of all project targets and key performance indicatorsPromote nexus and synergy with other national and international projects, programs, interventions AVSI strategic plan and prioritiesReview and supervise the elaboration of reports (including the collection and verification of the relevant project documentation) and strategic documents as required by AVSI, local authorities and the donorPeriodically interact with HQ focal points for coordinating and sharing new strategies, innovations, lessons learnt, criticalities, trainings, workshops etc., including regarding donor and partner relationsIdentify new funding proposals also with other donors and programEnsure an efficient communication and collaboration among all departments, by fostering knowledge sharing, joint planning exercises, as well as the follow up of interdepartmental work plansSupervise and support staff on the implementation of AVSI procedures related to project design, business development and projects implementation and related toolsMEAL – in coordination with the MEAL departmentEnsure quality and sustainability of project results through strategic and operational planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (continuous improvement), including by making use of established toolsEnsure systematic and evaluation and learning activities of ongoing projectEnsuring program development is linked to lessons learned and evaluation from previous actionsPromote project staff' involvement in MEAL activities, in particular the direct/automatized monitoring of activities as well as the reflections on lessons learned and participatory project evaluationShare within AVSI worldwide network the most significant experiences and lessons learnt together with the thematic focal pointCommunication – in coordination with the communication departmentSupport the local Communication Officer in gaining a thorough understanding of the projects and their implementation status and facilitate effective collaboration with the Project Managers and various departments, ensuring their regular participation in scheduled meetingsEnsure that the local Communication Officer and DCOG are involved in communication-related components during the project proposal development processOperations – in coordination with the operations departmentBe responsible for the compliance with all AVSI and donor procedures for projects under direct responsibility (especially concerning procurement, logistics, safety and administration of project) in cooperation with Operations Manager and Country RepresentativeSupervise the compliance of the country project portfolio with AVSI and donor policies and procedure, flagging relevant issues to OM and/or CRHR – in coordination with the HR departmentContribute to the recruitment, orientation, training and coaching of program' staff;
