About Novac Novac is an Italian deep-tech company developing and manufacturing next-generation pouch-format supercapacitors and hybrid energy storage solutions for high-performance applications, including automotive, aerospace, defense, and industrial systems.Our technology bridges advanced electrochemistry with scalable manufacturing, enabling high power delivery, long cycle life, and operation in demanding environments.Novac operates an in-house production line and is scaling toward pilot and industrial manufacturing.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Production Lead to oversee and coordinate Novac's production activities, from inbound production orders to daily manufacturing execution.The role combines hands-on operational responsibility with production planning, process optimization, and team coordination, acting as a key interface between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & OperationsLead daily production activities for pouch cell manufacturing, ensuring quality, throughput, and process stability.Oversee inbound production orders and translate them into executable production plans.Ensure smooth execution of production batches from raw materials to finished cells.Coordinate production personnel, shifts, and task allocation.Process & Equipment ManagementSet up, configure, and fine-tune production machinery, including:Welding and tab welding systemsStacking machinesSealing equipmentDegassing systemsFormation and cycling equipmentDie-cutting and slitting machinesSupport machine calibration, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.Collaborate with engineering on process definition, troubleshooting, and scaling.Materials & Warehouse ManagementManage production warehouse activities, including:Electrodes, separators, electrolyte, tabs, pouches (mylar), and consumablesMonitor material availability and trigger purchase requests in coordination with procurement.Ensure traceability and proper handling of materials used in production.Quality, Optimization & ScalingDrive continuous optimization of production processes to improve:Product qualityCycle time and throughputProcess repeatabilitySupport industrialization and scale-up activities, including the introduction of new equipment.Contribute to defining production KPIs and monitoring performance.People & SafetyEnsure a safe working environment and compliance with internal procedures.Support onboarding and training of new production operators.Promote a culture of operational excellence and accountability.Preferred Skills & ExperienceSolid knowledge of pouch cell manufacturing processes (battery, supercapacitor, or lithium-ion capacitor).Hands-on experience with production equipment setup and operation.Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.Operational mindset combined with a structured, process-driven approach.Ability to work closely with R&D, engineering, and supply chain teams.Problem-solving attitude and willingness to be present on the production floor.What We OfferA key role in a fast-growing deep-tech company scaling advanced energy storage manufacturing.Direct involvement in industrialization and production scale-up.A collaborative environment where technical expertise and execution matter.#J-*****-Ljbffr
