OverviewCompanyFor over 70 years GMM, General Medical Merate, has been a leader in Italy and worldwide in the design and production of systems for medical radiology.Our wide range of products results from continuous investment and proven know-how applied to technological evolution to meet the needs of modern diagnostic imaging while ensuring total ergonomics for the patient and the operator.GMM is present all over the world, directly or through validated and trusted partners, with installations in the most important hospitals and clinics and provides an efficient after-sales service.Position – RoleGMM is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer as part of its evolution.The role requires conceiving solutions and developing simple and complex electromedical equipment.The candidate must have knowledge of and be able to manage the entire process of design, prototyping, validation, and production ramp-up of a complete piece of equipment.Job DescriptionMechanical Engineer who, under the supervision of the Area Manager, is able to conceive solutions and develop simple and complex electromedical equipment.The candidate must have knowledge of and be able to manage the entire process of design, prototyping, validation, and production ramp-up of a complete piece of equipment.Activities and ResponsibilitiesDesign and Engineering: Develops products and components with defined functional, technical, and cost characteristics.Industrialization: Identifies materials and manufacturing technologies consistent with specifications and estimates production cycle costs.Analysis and Validation: Evaluates technical criticalities, analyzes risks, and manages malfunctions or anomalies.Documentation: Collaborates in drafting user, maintenance, and production documentation.Supplier Management: Oversees prototype manufacturing with external suppliers or internal departments, working in teams with other company functions.Experience and SkillsCross-Functional Technical SkillsKnowledge of Manufacturing ProcessesMetallurgy: Aluminum extrusion, sand casting (aluminum and cast iron), permanent mold aluminum casting, die casting.Machining and Plastics: Precision light metal fabrication, ABS thermoforming, expanded materials.Knowledge of Rapid Prototyping Processes: Proficiency in the main methods, including:Additive Technologies (3D Printing): FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF.Subtractive Techniques: CNC milling for high-precision parts.CAD Systems: Advanced use of SolidWorks (mandatory, at least 3 years).Knowledge of Creo 3 and CoCreate ME10 is a plus.Regulations: Machinery Directive, medical device safety, UNI and ISO **** standards.Requirements and AbilitiesEducation: Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience: At least 5 years in similar roles.Soft Skills: Ability to work in cross-functional teams, hands-on approach, excellent interpersonal skills.Languages: Good knowledge of English (written and spoken).Other informationSECTOR:Electromedical equipment productionWORKPLACE:Seriate (BG)DIVISION:Research & Development – Mechanical DesignPREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:At least 5 yearsTYPE OF EMPLOYMENT:Permanent contract#J-*****-Ljbffr
