Join to apply for the Prompt Engineer role at RWS Group .Job PurposeWe are seeking a Linguistic Prompt Engineer within the Linguistic AI Services (LAIS) team.The primary task is developing and optimizing prompts for large language models to expand RWS' AI-driven linguistic services.You will craft sophisticated prompts that maximize the performance of AI models in tasks such as AI LQA, term extraction and term creation, TM cleanup, content generation, and translation.You will work closely with data engineers, linguists, technical teams, and clients to ensure that the prompts elicit high-quality, contextually appropriate, linguistically correct, and culturally sensitive outputs that meet client requirements.If you are interested in the development and application of next-generation language technologies that are transforming the industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you.About TransformAt RWS, we enable the world's largest enterprises to communicate with global audiences through cutting-edge language technology, AI-driven solutions, and expert services.Our RWS Transform division empowers organizations to accelerate digital transformation, scale global content, and unlock growth in every market.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and refine advanced prompting techniques to enhance the performance and accuracy of large language models in linguistic AI tasks.Develop and implement AI output evaluation techniques to assess the quality, relevance, and accuracy of AI-generated output across various linguistic tasks.Analyze AI outputs to identify patterns and areas for improvement in both the prompts and the primary data.Collaborate with target language specialists to incorporate linguistic expertise into prompt engineering, ensuring that language-specific requirements and idiosyncrasies are captured.Work closely with the LAIS Research and Development team to align prompt engineering efforts with the latest AI methodologies and available tools.Conduct experiments and analyze results to continuously improve prompt effectiveness and efficiency across various linguistic tasks.Maintain a library of optimized prompts for different use cases, languages, and industries.Create and implement best practices and guidelines for prompt engineering within the LAIS team.Participate in client meetings when needed to understand specific requirements and tailor prompting strategies accordingly.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in prompt engineering and large language models, and apply this knowledge to improve RWS's Linguistic AI Services.Contribute to the documentation and training materials related to prompt engineering for internal teams and clients.Skills & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, AI, or a related field.Proven experience in prompt engineering for large language models, preferably in linguistic applications.Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning concepts.Experience with popular AI frameworks and platforms (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Llama, Claude, etc.).Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in AI/ML, such as Python.Understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases, including querying, joining, and managing tables.Proficiency with linguistic concepts and categories.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize prompts based on performance metrics.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience in collaborative environments, working with cross-functional teams.Creativity and innovation in approaching prompt engineering challenges.Experience working with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) and web-based collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint) is a plus.Familiarity with the localization industry and language technologies is a plus.Life at RWSIf you like the idea of working with smart people who are passionate about growing the value of ideas, data and content by making sure organizations are understood, then you'll love life at RWS.Our purpose is to unlock global understanding.This means our work fundamentally recognizes the value of every language and culture.We celebrate difference, are inclusive, and believe that diversity makes us strong.We want every employee to grow as an individual and excel in their career.In return, we expect all our people to live by the values that unite us: to partner , putting clients first and winning together;
